Growing Great Kids partner with GOD to cultivate His purpose in your child’s life By Kate Battistelli

Growing Great Kids was a phenomenal book. I felt as though I was sitting in the author Kate Battistelli’s  living room  sipping coffee while chatting about parenting. Most parenting books I have read, have left me clueless and overwhelmed as to where to begin to parent in a Godly way. After reading Kate’s book, I feel more encouraged and equipped to parent my daughter in a way that  will aide   in her journey towards finding   God’s purpose for her life. Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisors  they succeed. Proverbs 15:22. Within the chapters of this book is wisdom from many great ad
visors each with a different pearl of wisdom to add. Also Francesca Battistelli  gives an awesome testimony to her mother’s heart calling her mom her favorite woman in the world. To me that is  breathtakingly beautiful. Each chapter  was written based on various  personal experiences. Two of my favorite parts of the book are  the Questions to ask yourself  and the specific prayers both of which are located at the conclusion of each chapter . The questions challenged me to re-evaluate how I am parenting. The prayers made me realize that I need to be more specific in how I pray for my daughter. As pointed out  inside the book “you have not because you ask not.” We have to go boldly before the throne for our children. I also became aware of the fact that it’s never to early to pray for your child’s future spouse and even children. ” It only takes the faith of a mustard seed to move mountains and change lives. And that faith, more than anything else, grows great kids!” says Kate. As parents God calls us to invest in our children in daily actions and prayer.
